Resumen:

In an annual planning of stands of trees to be harvested, through load times supplies, different distances of extraction to freight yards, the maximum distance of extraction to diferent freight yards has been determined, minimizing the costs by unit transported of the lots evaluated. The maximization of the distance of extraction through the use of mathematical models and the optimization of the process generated the authorization of a new freight yard with a decrease of the cost by unit of wood transported of 27%, to a value of U$D 2,15 unit, lowering production costs. The utilization of mathematical mode/s of optimization and cost benefit relation proved to be a variable of utility in the harvest
